Can you please answer me these few questions?

Can you just answer me these few questions, EA?

Hyper agression

  • Why do 4 CPU players keep chasing me with the sole intention of taking me down?
  • Why is the CPU so aggressive and keeps hitting me even when I don't have the puck and even though I lowered the aggression slider to 0?
  • Why, when the CPU player often takes down my player pointlessly, does my player take over 10 seconds to get up and I can't do anything about it?

CPU vs. HUMAN (me)

  • Why are CPU players a little faster than mine and therefore I can almost never go into a break without having 4 CPU players stuck to my back, who will take me down from behind at any moment in a way that defies the laws of physics?
  • Why do CPU players have some kind of "invisible bubble" around them and I can't even take them down at full speed or normal hit? Why are CPU players so much more stable?
  • Why are CPU players always ready to collect my passes, bouncing pucks, etc., and my players (whom I don't control at the moment) are complete lobotomists and unless I explicitly switch for him, he won't do anything, even if the puck goes past him, or he's not even able to handle it?

Passing

  • Why is it almost impossible to pass to a teammate at a very short distance? I'm talking about tens of centimeters, for example?
  • Why are reverse passes completely out of the question and the puck always goes to **bleep**, even when I'm directing it like crazy and there's no other player around?
  • Why is the pass routing in general so terribly broken and if you want to make an unexpected and less predictable pass, you don't have a chance?

There are x more things that come to mind now, but I think these few questions will be enough to answer, thank you!

Please don't tell me you want to watch the video again. Just turn on one match and at least 80% of what I wrote will happen to you. I also wouldn't like to get an answer like: "that's something we know about"...

Whoever answers this... take your time, I'd like to hear relevant answers from you as to why these things are still happening more than half a year after the game was released. I'm sure more players would be interested in this.

P.S.: Could you explain to me the situation that happened in the attached video? You're the developer of this game, so you should probably...

Hi there. Thanks for reaching out.

For CPU aggression, which mode(s) is that happening in? Also, if it's taking you 10 seconds to get it up, it sounds like your energy was drained. If that's the case, you could try making managing your energy better as well as making running shorter shifts.

The AI players are very aggressive. Most likely this is to prevent the cheesing of running out the clock without the AI attacking you.

Can you get me a video showing the following:

Why are CPU players a little faster than mine and therefore I can almost never go into a break without having 4 CPU players stuck to my back, who will take me down from behind at any moment in a way that defies the laws of physics?

Why do CPU players have some kind of "invisible bubble" around them and I can't even take them down at full speed or normal hit? Why are CPU players so much more stable?

Why are CPU players always ready to collect my passes, bouncing pucks, etc., and my players (whom I don't control at the moment) are complete lobotomists and unless I explicitly switch for him, he won't do anything, even if the puck goes past him, or he's not even able to handle it?

    Regarding passing:

Why is it almost impossible to pass to a teammate at a very short distance? I'm talking about tens of centimeters, for example?

You should be able to very quickly tap the pass button to make short passes. It would help seeing video of your passing.

Why are reverse passes completely out of the question and the puck always goes to **bleep**, even when I'm directing it like crazy and there's no other player around?

Once again, need some video. I haven't had a problem aiming passes behind me so this would be good to see.

As far as the video goes, that's a glitch, obviously. It shouldn't be happening and thankfully, it's less frequent than it used to be.

  • In the following videos you can see what I mentioned. I just want to point out that my aggression is at 0/100 and my fouls are at 90/100. This happens several times every game, when the CPU takes him down and I can't do anything about it. It's also nice to see the "invisible bubble" that I mentioned, because I drove into the CPU player at full speed in order to take him down, but he barely staggered and kept skating. In contrast, my player is out of the hit and it seems to me that hitting puts me at a greater disadvantage than the CPU. In the shorter video, the CPU defender took down Tkachuk completely senselessly, I think, without the puck... no foul... and of course I'm at a disadvantage because I'm being chased by the hyper-aggressive CPU again, and if the CPU takes down two players like that in the meantime, what the hell am I supposed to do? Of course then a counterattack and a goal...

To the longer video... but that hit (foul, again not whistled) doesn't even respect the laws of physics... again I was minus one player at that moment... I can be the best player, but there's simply nothing you can do about this...

For God's sake, if nothing else, then quickly reduce the CPU aggression, it's unplayable...

EA_Aljo actually you always say you'll send it to the team but nothing ever changes.

I'm sending another link to the video, and here you can see how serious it is.

To give you an idea of the situation, I tried to stay in the attacking zone and pass to the defenders. Unfortunately, as you can see in the video, the CPU defenders can't stand it after a few seconds and start taking down my players without the puck, most often crosschecking. Of course, the referee won't call a foul... I repeat again that my CPU slider aggression is set to 0.

Why the hell is this happening? Or rather, why haven't you fixed it in May 2025, 7 months after the game was released? It's so frustrating to play this game. You mentioned that the overly aggressive CPU is intentionally set so that my players don't just solo all over the field. But when you see this... and this is just a fragment of everything that such a hyper-aggressive CPU can do, to score a goal you have no choice but to run the entire field along the boards with one player, hope that some psycho CPU player doesn't illogically take you down and then pass it to your teammate in front of an empty goal. Alternatively, the second option is to throw/shoot the puck from the blue line and it will somehow fall there. If I want to combine and hold the puck, you can see for yourself what happens.

I hope I get a different answer than: "I'll pass it to the team"

I relay the feedback, but that doesn't guarantee it's going to be acted on. We are aware of the aggression of the AI players. This was intended. Hopefully, it will be balanced better in the future though.

  • EA_Aljo I know it was intended... you already said that and I kinda respect that because I have nothing else left. But do you understand the problem is that this is a foul and the referee won't blow the whistle. This is what I've been trying to explain to you all this time after you told me that hyper-aggressive AI was your intention. I have all the foul rate sliders set to 100/100 on both me and the CPU...  I could probably understand if it happened once every few games, but as you can see in the video, the AI players will make the same foul within 20 seconds. This is just a pretty serious problem, can't you see?

Yes. I understand what the issue is here. You're not the first to report it. We're aware of this so hopefully, the AI aggression will be better balanced in the future.
