How to get more even stats?

I just started playing BaP as a goalie. Last time I played was in NHL 23, and it was the same then.

As my attached photo will show you, the stats are bonkers. I was in VLH and my opponent was FBK.

Since I kinda suck at being a goalie, I would like to have more shots on me but easier shots. Changing the sliders won't do much I guess since you can only change sliders for either Human or CPU, and all the players, even my own team, are CPU.

So anyway, tldr: How do I get more and easier shots on me as a goalie? Is it even possible?

  • So, I'm going to preface this by saying I only played half a season as goalie in BaP, basically because of this exact problem.

No matter what I set the sliders to, I couldn't get the other team to shoot on me. My team would be super pro, cycling and stuff for super long times, and then the other team would come into our zone and get immediately picked off or just not shooting at all even when they had opportunities.

I can say, if you want to stick to it, up the difficulty slightly, and the 'aggressiveness' slider- I believe that's in the checking section. It makes them go after the puck more aggressively when your team has possession, and it seems to up their wish to shoot on goal a bit more, as does upping the difficulty.

To offset that, you can change the human goalie sliders to give you a boost, or slow down the CPU passing/shooting sliders. I had issues where one-timers were basically so fast as to be unseeable, but slowing down pass speed helped a lot with that.

Unfortunately, it just got boring. I really wanted to enjoy it, but the lack of shooting and minutes on end of doing absolutely nothing eventually made me stop, but my suggestions above made it a bit better. Good luck!

  • It’s all in the sliders… I can play the same team over and over and see the shot against vary by a lot. I lower my aggression to 10. For me Less hitting=more shots. I also bumped up the CPU strategy slider. The higher the number, the more aggressive the offense is.

On that note, it is very frustrating to play BAP Goalie and only get a few shots on goal. In 7min periods I’ll average about 23shots per game. Thats not bad, 33 on the high end and 18 on the low end. Depends on the team and their playing style.
