I like all this. I’ve also been thinking about how great this game could be with some attention and fan input. They should allow it so you can go to try outs for the ECHL in be a pro mode. I’m a big NAHL fan as there is a team half an hour from me and it’s some of the most exciting hockey I’ve ever watched and it’s only 10 bucks. I know there are already 3 junior leagues but they should make the be a pro start out with the option to play a full season in juniors. Then do like the new MLB game did, take a handful of the top D1 college teams (BC, UMaine, Denver, etc) and play through the college tournament if you decide to go to college or you can take the try out route and try out for an ECHL team and work your way up. Something I’ve also thought about, they should have the media be more interactive. Do pre game interviews that are more broadcast like (when a reporter is on the bench doing an interview with a player standing on the ice), do intermission interviews about what you’ve done well and what you think the team needs to work on for the next period. I remember the NBCSN broadcast panning around the outside of the stadium and then cutting to the broadcast team doing the pre game report. Not a big basketball fan but the newest NBA game wins right now with allowing you to walk from the locker room into the tunnel and out on the court where you can participate in warm ups. Things to think about but I believe these features along with what you had mentioned, would make the NHL series the next greatest series in sports game history. Side note, EA is missing out on a pile of money not producing an NCAA hockey game🤷🏻♂️
