all I play is CHEL. 25 was a step in the right direction. My squad has play A LOT of games. I've pretty much seen everything.
Incentivize good team play right down to the way goals are scored. If you are getting creative with your goals and moving the puck well, you should be rewarded. You never see the same shots repeatedly go in in the NHL. Every Goal is different IRL. In CHEL, If you score the same cheesy snapshot from the top of the circle or that STUPID goal you can score from the goal line because the goalie can't protect the post over and over and over again, you should be punished. EXPLOITERS SHOULD BE PUNISHED! I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. STOP THE EXPLOITING. Elite teams do a lot of exploiting. I haven't played 1 elite team who doesn't use exploits to win.
Get rid of the penalization of good defensive play. WHY ON EARTH DO I SLOW DOWN BECAUSE I'VE DECIDED TO POKE CHECK??? Why waste time getting in good position to make a play to knock the puck loose with a good body move only to roll off the puck carrier like I don't even exist?
Fix the puck physics. So many times I've poked checked and watched the puck just stop dead... on ice.
Fix the lucky bounces. When momentum is involved, lucky bounces get out. of. hand. So many games are decided by impossible bounces which end up being goals.
While the skating on offense is a lot of fun and a great mechanic, give defense something to stop the incessant trigger riding which makes the puck carrier near impossible to stop, skating in circles and impervious to hits makes it impossible to knock the puck loose. Get rid of the 1 touch dekes. dekes are hard an real life, they should be in game too.
