Matchmaking wouldn't need anything else than total separation between North America and Europe. Let europeans (like me) to only play against other europeans and same for people from NA. There ain't no good reason to force everyone in the same bowl and just hope to find yourself a playable game. That could also be option as well if someone want's to play from Europe against NA.
Also what matchmaking needs is what we already had in previous NHL is the size of team. We need the exact setting back when trying to play 6v6 games. Why take that +- thing away?
Only God himself knows what they had in mind when they removed matchmaking settings and do not understand that ping is really big issue here wich also could be easily fixed to put wall between Europe and North America.

It’s not just NA and EU that have issues with this. West and East Canada is a huge difference in terms of ping, we need a best game location ASAP; it makes the game playable and enjoyable. I will not play a game with high ping, and it will take me a long time to find a game with good ping. This was never an issue last year with the best game location setting. I will seriously think refunding the game without matchmaking settings such as match room size and best game location, an absolute atrocious change that is unacceptable.
