When you lose the coin flip of the AI goalies specifically and the other team has 5 goals on 10 un-screened weak wrist shots from the point and your team is coming up on 30 shot's against their AI Shesterkin it's completely pointless to stay in that game, it's not going to allow you to win. Now leaving a 1-0 or 2-1 game, sure, it's wasting everyone's time if you're rage quitting that game for whatever reason, but getting blown out because your goalie is throwing isn't fun and out of the player's control. This is reported by a majority of the player base as the main reason they leave/quit games. Now fix that and then you can talk about punishments for leaving a balanced and fair game. It's not "real hockey", it's a video game. Video games are about enjoying your free time, if you're not allowed to actually compete to win in some games than you should 100% be allowed to move on to the next one whenever you want to.
It’s not how it works. Players should receive punishment regardless of game outcome or performance. Punishment of players is very common in successful competitive games such as R6, Counter Strike and many others, and it works very well. NHL needs to implement this feature.
No, they don't. I do agree that a quit should be a large deduction IF you can somehow manage griefing in the game. You're saying that people getting griefed should just have to suck it up even though one player purposefully sabatoging their game experience. No thanks.
It happens in competitive games, and it works great. You can report players for griefing and it works great. Chel needs to adopt this feature
