What has happened to the matchmaking in World of Chel?We have been enthusiastically playing 6vs6 in World of Chel for years. Since NHL25 this enthusiasm is dwindling more and more. NHL24:Finding opponents in 6vs6 usually took less than a minute. The opponents we found were all at the same level as our club. Every now and then some opponents were 2-3 rank levels better, but overall it was perfect and we had exciting and close games.NHL25:I don't even want to mention the missing matchmaking filter and the bug where a game is only found if you leave the lobby several times. This is simply not right for a full-price game if such bugs have existed since launch.Furthermore, the opponent search usually takes 8-10 minutes. The opponents found are then no longer at our level but well above it. Our players are at silver - gold level. At best, the opposing teams have platinum ranks. Usually even higher. That kills any fun in the game. I don't understand why you came up with the idea of changing what we consider to be perfect matchmaking and now have such a broken and unsatisfactory solution in the game.I hope you get this under control, otherwise we will turn our backs on your game series after many years of fun. Needless to say that all of our club members are also avid HUT players and thus help to finance the CHEL mode.

NHL24 matchmaking was perfect. We stopped playing NHL25 EASHL due to the horrible matchmaking. We wasted hours in the buggy lobby just to find opponents that totally not match our rank and skill level. We decided not to buy NHL next year. Bravo EA. NHL24 match making worked perfectly fine.

Transparency - a situation in which business and financial activities are done in an open way without secrets, so that people can trust that they are fair and honest. Have any of us seen exactly what details have been excluded from NHL 25, until we started playing it on our consoles? Nope. Unless you're an EA Sports employee, that information is privileged and not made publicly open to the consumer. This game shouldn't be a learning curve, every single year, much less have WHAT WORKED removed for absolutely no reason or reasons. Adding something for ease of use is understandable. Removing something, that's been working, only creates confusion and a lack of trust among other things. From this side of the screen, there's been very questionable decisions made, regarding this game, to which absolutely no proof or evidence has been relayed to this community as to why its been done. And despite requests for answers, solutions, etc., they're essentially met with "too bad, your financial purchase of this game means that you'll just have to deal with whatever we decide you'll play." Good game.

NO CHANGES SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE. Period. What in the blue hell was wrong with previous iterations of matchmaking, that warranted these drastic changes? Ultimately, what is the logic in these thought processes? Who's making these decisions and game breaking changes, without the community's overall input? Where are the polls? Majority rules? And most importantly, why are the majority getting railroaded by the minority?

Started a new club up in the EASHL tonight. Played a total of 3 games out of 5. We left 2 because we arent even ranked yet and were playing platinums and diamonds. Where one of their players had already scored over 1000 goals. Good for that guy, but EA, WTF. This is by far the worst mastchmaking we have experienced in any game. My friends and I have been playing NHL for years and we were all iffy about getting it. Sure, the small changes in games are a tiny step in the right direction, but everything else is horrendous. Copied and pasted 80-90% of NHL24, just like in years passed. Stick checking, the constant tripping penalties, terrible goal tending, the list goes on. Please, for a true die hard hockey fan and probably for everyone experiencing this as well, fix this. This is the only slice of hockey we get in the form a video game and we deserve to have a solid game experience. Not a copied and pasted, half baked POS. Listen to your customers for once and do the right thing and fix the issues for everyone to actually have fun in the game.

The answer is removing some of the eashl modes. Why even have the outdoor rink drop in 6vs6 experience? All dropins should be in the main club mode. Not ones, 3's eliminator and 3vs3. Saturday night during club finals and we can't find a 6vs6 game in over 2 hours of searching. Are you trying to match teams with similar skill levels? That's cool for 90 seconds or so, but not for 90 minutes.

My wild guess has always been once they implemented cross platform, that's when the problems started.

I watched a 3h 26min long youtube clip while waiting to enter a 6v6 drop in game…. NOTHING!!!!! even though the lobby was full several times

close to 12h without a 6v6 game?!?!?!? 3v3 works fine so what is the problem? remove 3v3 so we can play hockey 🤬

100% me and my buddies were dominating in 24 and got to div 7 because we played against people in our skill level , and I somehow dragged them into getting 25 and it's a trainwreck and we are like 4-15 and stuck in div 9 playing against guys with 1000 goals and max level and now my friends are taking a break from the game for a couple weeks. I guess back to college football dynasty with them I guess

This should be your number one priority really. No other EA game have this big of a matchmaking issue. We waste soooo much time waiting for matches. It should be embarrassing for you that the players have figured out ways to "fix" it by doing a private search for 5 seconds then switch back. Changing room leader that search, making a new room, everyone leaving CHEL and join same EA connect player etc. Or sometimes when you cancel queuing after 3 minutes you get a match.
I understand NHL's budget is lower than the others, but you really need to do something about this. Ask the other branches for some help regarding this issue maybe.
I don't think you understand how big of an impact this has. Because it affects every player every night we play CHEL. Litterly every player could call out this immense issue, but either they think so many people has already done this or they are so tired of it and that it's not fixed yet that they don't. It breaks the spirit of every player each night we wait 10-20 min for a game until we all restart game and maybe get one game every hour.
I really do speak for every CHEL player on this matter.

Hey Aljo,
Has there been any talks of fixing the voice chat overlay in World of Chel? The big font and Grey boxes should be smaller and moved to a corner. Or add the ability to turn it off? It blocks the view of the puck and it is unnecessary. Thanks

You can turn it off, but it turns off game chat at the same time. We're aware of how much space it takes up. Hopefully, it'll be adjusted in a future update.
