I'm rooting for you PC guys. I really am.
But I'm sure a company as big as EA has a market research team. If their data showed they could make enough money on this, they would most certainly do it. They're a for-profit company after all, so why wouldn't they want the game available for sale on as many platforms as possible? The most reasonable answer is the income generated from a PC version wouldn't be higher than the cost to produce and maintain it.
Not trying to be a **bleep**. I sincerely hope you guys get your game someday. Doesn't seem like the economics are there yet though.

Not enough players for pc version. Also pc version would just atract cheaters on. Hockey is just marginal sport that's it.

Hockey is obviously missing from pc and pc has only gotten more popular, I think it is time we get it on steam.

septicon. EA is about to be under new ownership. Two things stick out for me regarding this move. Will new ownership take an indepth evaluation, of the games that are financially stable. And pass on the ones that are not. Secondly. The NHL franchise is currently produced in BC Canada. Will they move it to the States. If they do. That would mean a new developement crew. The question then is. How much of the game will change. And should a move take place. Will a PC version be in the works. As it stands now. The only thing holding this franchise back from creating that PC version, is financial. The NHL franchise right now is in the bottom tier of sports games. Meaning sales are not robust enough to quantify spending money on any additional formats. But with a new owner, hopefully more money can be injected into the franchise, allowing for expansion to a PC version. Can only hope!

EA could just do a presale that have to reach the break even financially and we were good to go. I buy it if I get the money back when they do not deliver it. Easy peasy.

While it may be speculation, there can be only a few reasons, why EA is not wanting to bring a PC version back, even when so many folks tell you that they would love to buy one. It can only be money or development complexity. You are EA, development is your thing. You cannot tell me, that you could not do it, if you would get enough money back from it. So it must be the financial aspect. Since you do not release any figures (what is understandable and legitimate imho) there can be nothing else than speculation. I bet you underestimate the market on PC. A Steam release would be an almost secure success.

This makes sense. But I do not find a reason, why not bringing it to GameCloud at the very first day it comes out on the two consoles. They could even sell it separately from the GamePass Ultimate as a standalone cloud version. The infrastructure for this is already there and would not need to be built separately. I just think they have given up on this great NHL game at all. So sad.
