A Question I would like answered.

Why is that when you make program changes in Be A Pro does adversely affect the development of the Bap player. Like pond hockey you get 3 games and then drafted. Now you get maybe 6 games you get drafted the only new benefit is you can get drafted by the team you want. Only problem is there is no development of the player. And I still don’t get the energy thing? You spend energy points to get traits and X factor points. But then lose a lot of experience if you overtire your Be A Pro. Still not as good as when you did 2 years in the minors and chose where your experience went.

Hi there. I'll pass your feedback on to the team. Appreciate you taking the time to constructively share your thoughts with us. Thanks!

  • I’m going to throw this out there and I’ll probably get some hate but here goes: The energy system isn’t a huge deal as long as you’re patient. You simply can’t expect to convert a lot of energy points into trait and x-factor points during the hockey season and especially not during your first couple of seasons. You’ll be able to do that during the offseason since you don’t have to worry about replacing health points when you’re not playing games. Also, you will get a ton of trait and x-factor points during press conferences based on how you answer. The way you set up your player is critical from the very beginning as the “confident” answers tend to reap the best rewards. I’ll opt for trait points over something like legacy points all day long, especially when your player is young and struggling to get more competitive.

There are plenty of issues with BAP - the form score is atrocious- but the energy system isn’t too bad, imo.  The bottom line is don’t plan on being a 99 overall halfway through the first season.

thanks for replying. and since you are, can you please explain to me why we get more negative feedback than positive feedback on the coaches score especially when it's not our fault? for instance, just today I was playing my defenseman and went down to block a shot, which I did. my character went into the "twist" animation after the blocked shot, which takes forever to come out of. the puck goes right back to the shooter who was very close to me to begin with. he goes around me BEFORE I come out of the animation. I get up and try to poke check from behind but miss. I am literally so close to him I could've skated up his back. well needless to say he scores. so I get a miss assignment? please tell me how that is possible when I have no control over when he comes out of those stupid animations and I was RIGHT THERE. no one came to help by the way and the goalie just let it go in. I have asked this on several other posts but get no reply. could you please elaborate on this? it's frustrating to let 1 goal in and get at the bare minimum a -2% for just a "bad line defense" then it takes several, and I mean SEVERAL, things to get that back. I was in the offensive zone with full pressure for about a minute or so, had 3 shots on goal, and forechecked and got maybe 1% for all that. the only thing that gives more than 1% positive is scoring. I just don't understand that. and this is not the only thing with these animations. when checking, if you "glance" off an opponent, you stay in this animation WAY to long. the puck carrier skates away before you come out of it. this has to change. this pees me off more than the form score and I HATE the form score the way it is. I was winning this game 6-2 in the 3rd period and shut it down because of that. that is NOT realistic to say the least. thanks for any reply

this is what I'm talking about. how in the heck did I get a -2% before this play (which is bull anyway) and ended up with a -6% FOR ONE DANG GOAL. could you please respond.

and this is what 90% of people are screaming about. why in the world would a defensive enforcer need all that offense and puck skills in training and NOTHING in the categories that actually matter like stick checking and shot blocking and checking. this game is ALL about offense and scoring goals. you either got to put it on rookie and win every game and score 100+ goals in your rookie season or you lose half to most of your games and go to the minors all the time.
