Another BAP rant.. Refunds are a must.
OK I actually gave it a shot and played through a couple of seasons on BAP even though it's the worst unplayable mess ever. On my third season now and I finally got on the second line after being the teams top scorer two seasons in a row and also one time conn smythe winner while playing on the third line and no powerplay time. I get a new form score challenge to get on powerplay 2 unit. I play the chapter and get 84 form score, get the dialog that says i passed the challenge and that I have made the second powerplay. Then I sim a day until next game and I get a new challenge, the challenge is to Get on the second powerplay..... I look at the lines and im not in any powerplay line, so the last challenge just didn't count....
Besides the awful gameplay mechanics with the form score challenges there is a whole list of just obvious bugs that you would find if you just did one playtest of this game.
- Gameplay sliders reset every game
- When you are injured, the story just ignores it and keeps going on like you are still playing. The news and podcast broadcast or whatever that annoying guy is supposed to be just keeps dissing you while you are injured, saying how bad you are playing and you need to turn things around.
- Also there is no sim to end of injury and no ETA of how long your injury is. You just sit and sim day by day in the menu with no indication of when your gonna be able to play again. All while getting yelled at by some radio host for being the worst player ever.
- As mentioned above the Form score challenges bugs sometimes and you pass a challenge only to get the same challenge again.
- On another save, I invested into the stay on powerplay conversation option in the trait tree. But when I failed a form score challenge and the coach demoted me off the powerplay that option never appeared in the conversation.
- Multiple games a season, the lights in the arena never turns on, so you have to play the whole game in the dark...
This is really getting into scam territory, we should get refunded. There is no way anyone tested this game. And after buying this game every year and waiting so long for a new version of this game mode you are just literally spitting in your playerbase faces by releasing this untested crap. Not only did you do opposite of all the feedback from the old version of this mode by going all in on ridiculous challenges that no one wanted. You also managed to break everything in the process and just released an unplayable game.
