What is with the AI opposong team not taking shots. Its a miracle if they get 10 shots in a game against me in goal. Meanwhile my team will take 30 shots a game. Is there a setting I need to change or something? Its ridiculous, the AI team will have a 2 on 1 and dump the puck instead of shooting and other crap like that.

Have you also adjusted the sliders to see if you can get your opponents to take more shots?
Too little information.. how many real minutes are you playing? If you have 3 min per period, then 10 shots is good. If you are playing 10 min periods, then 10 shots is bad.
A few things you can do: increase the difficulty. If you are at Semi-Pro, then move up one level to Pro. If you are already at Pro, then move up one notch.. The next slider I would move up is the BAP coach strategy slider.. I think the default is 3/6 move them up to 6/6. This will make the CPU coach adjust quicker and be more aggressive. This worked for me, but it could be a placebo affect.. I reduced the aggression slider and the hitting power. I increased all of the hitting sliders that concern speed, size, and readiness. All these sliders I bumped them up to 90/100. No reason a guy who is 5’6” 145lbs can hit as hard as a guy who is 6’7” at 245lbs. Or a guy who is skating at 1mph can hit as hard as a guy skating at full speed. 85-90/100 are pretty good settings.
So there are things you can try.
it really doesnt matter how long the periods are though. Im doing 5 minutes but regardless my team can put up 30+ in that amount of time. So the cpu team shouldn't be outshot 3x every game. I would understand if it happened occasionally but its nearly every single game.

EA_Aljo This is very much the normal. I have tried adjusting the sliders in all sorts of different ways with no luck.

Difficulty level matters as well. I havent played this years BAP but last year I played on Superstar with sliders adjusted and got a pretty consistent 30:30 give or take. It did take some tweaking tho to get it like that.
