I think you may have mistaken us for play testers rather than paying customers. The explanation the OP has given is crystal clear.
Community ManagerThe best way to get this fixed is to get video of what's happening. That way the team investigating this can see exactly what's happening. Many times we try to reproduce something, but can't because there's some particular detail being left out that is visible with a video.
Videos or screenshots won't fully show the form score issue in BAP. It's clearly too focused on points or +/-, screwing over 4th-liners, TWF's, and defensemen. You can get a 'A' in the coaches feedback when you nail your role with hits, blocks, positional play, etc. But if you dont score or get an assist your form score tanks. Keeping it above 75/100 for challenges is brutal, especially for non-offensive roles.
EA's own description calls the form score a measure of "how well you're playing" but its not actual rewarding actual hockey roles, just point-chasing, potentially forcing players to deviate from realistic hockey roles just to progress their career.
Suggested fixes:
1 - Base form score more on coach feedback grades
2 - Counting role-specific stats in form score
3 - Easing up on point weight for for score calculation
4 - Show how the form score is actually calculated
5 - Make challenges doable for non-scorers
I'd be happy with some simple tweaks to the health system, lol. Makes me not even want to play, I'm so worried about the health I can't just play the game.
Just get some proper game testers to do their work. Just start up BAP play the game and these things that are reported will happen. No need for videos and so on for that. Just a lazy way to reply and push the issue on to the gamers. That is NOT how you do game testing. Do your JOB.
Community ManagerMy job isn't to test the game. I gather details we need to investigate issues. The team is very busy looking into reports of various issues as it is and this is a very time intensive process. To help them out and potentially get issues resolved faster, videos are needed.
Yeah, let me just upload a 90 minute video of me playing a week of games to show me running out of energy points with my health drained. Or a 20 minute video playing an entire game and showing my form score not replicating my play and coach feedback.
This is not something you can show in a small clip. If it isn't your job than frankly you are no help to us getting this issue resolved as it is a gameplay issue from little to no play testing. Just let us know when the game developers acknowledge it and have a plan to fix.
