I absolutely agree with much you have said. It is sooooooo difficult. Even when I turn sliders way up if not 100, it's still hard to move from 4th to 3rd. But what I have done is focus on mostly on traits to increase my overall enough that they have to play me on the 3rd line, based on my rating. Finally I got the chance I need to get form score of at least 80. Still hard AF, but at season 3, I finally made the 3rd line. Now with plenty of ice time, can finally make an impact and stay on the team. TBD (this is experienced as a LW/C)
Yup, I ended up playing just long enough to get a point in a game, then sim the rest since simming doesn't use nearly as much energy. And if I don't score in the first period, sim the rest anyway since I'll probably get benched for at least the 3rd period.
It sucks to have to use a ridiculous strategy just to make the game playable. I finally got promoted to the 3rd line and the game is actually enjoyable to play, but I had to quit/relaunch a few times until I could string together enough decent games to make the cut. It's ludicrous to expect a 4th liner to score a PPG on a checking line with maybe 5 shifts a game.

yea that's what I do. I had to quit/relaunch about 5 times on a game. even relaunched when we were winning but couldn't score a goal if my life depended on it. was like B+ or higher on coaches score with offense well over target % but that would not have mattered. I played a game the other day with my enforcer and got B+ on overall coaches score and dropped 10 points in form score because I did not have a goal or assist and was 0 in the +/- but had 8 hits, but just played a game with my center and scored 3 goals but had 2 goals scored on me when I was on the ice and had 6 hits and got a B+ on coaches score, guess what my form score was? yup 100. how in the world can you get the same grade on 2 different players but have that big of a form score change. they should base the form score on what position you play. if you are offense, then base it mostly off of the offensive score and a little on teamplay score and even less on defensive score. but when playing a defenseman base it on what you do in the defensive score then teamplay, then offense. now that needs to be adjusted for what style player you have, like a 2way forward should be like even across the board. but for pete sake, if you start a game with 50% in all 3 scores, YOUR OVERALL SHOULD BE 50%, NOT 38%. geez start us even

Yes, 100%. I hope they take this into account when investigating the form score. I would hate to see it tuned/tweaked but have it be the same across all positions and player types!
