Be A Pro needs improvement

I know this has been mentioned by several people, but I wanted to voice my opinion as well.

I only buy NHL games for Be A Pro. It's genuinely the only game mode I play. With how little the game mode has changed over the previous several years, I hadn't planned on purchasing another NHL game after NHL 25 (which I almost didn't buy). Once I saw there were actually some changes to the gameplay and BAP itself, I decided to give it another chance. For the most part, I like how it feels in-game, but I have one thing in particular that makes me rethink purchasing the game. And that is the BAP Health System. I'm exhausted. Always. Every week, I have to make a choice: improve my health so I'm not slow and injury-prone or put the energy towards trait and x-factor points. It's a lose-lose situation. No matter how much I improve my health, I'm exhausted after one game. Now, all those trait and x-factor points I've spent mean little to nothing. My stats go down, so I can't use certain all-star or above x-factor abilities anymore. Now, I have to wait until the next week when I can increase my health enough to regain those abilities for just one game. It's beyond frustrating.

I'm not necessarily asking that it be removed, as there are likely people out there that enjoy and appreciate the feature. All I want is the ability to turn it off. Please.

    • Your player is 16 or 17 years old when they start playing in NHL. Why? This is not realistic at all.
    • If your player gets injured, you don't see what injury it is or how long you are out. Should be included.
    • Contract negotiations through your career should be included.
    • Full season or seasons at juniors or europe before draft should be there
    • Chance to play full WJC tournament and international plays through your career
    • Actual practises to improve your players skills
    • Calendar is still missing

Also as an 18 year old after being drafted if you don't make the nhl team should be able to get sent down to your junior team instead of the ahl

The "new" Be a pro is a lie. It's a reskinned version with somehow more problems that the previous one.

  • I cant help but notice that the guy whinusually responds on this page is ALWAYS no where to be found when it comes to problems with design and feature choices. This feedback will probably never reach the devs, and they'll think it's a loved feature. Dont buy the next game dude, speak with your wallet.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I'll get it sent over to the team.

I have adapted to the energy system since the update it received a while ago. That, combined with adjustments I’ve made with sliders as well as my gameplay itself have made a great deal of difference.
i boosted the “fatigue recovery” slider up to 80 or 85 (i can’t remember which), and I use the speed boost in game somewhat sparingly. As irl, you can’t skate full speed all the time.

Usually, I can get back to “peak” with only one energy point, although every couple of games I do need that extra point.

A big point I like to stress is that I don’t think that limiting accessibility to trait and X-factor points in a given week is unreasonable. There’s a bit more off-time during the holidays and even more during the all-star break (which we should be able to participate in). You get a great opportunity during the offseason, of course, and the conversations can be extremely rewarding when it comes to points. What I’m trying to say is that busy game weeks are more for maintaining your health and less about gaining huge improvements with your player.
