Inactive opponent detection needed in NHL 26 online matches

Sometimes opponents stay completely inactive for the entire game. Since online matches last about 15 minutes (3 x 5-minute periods), the active player is forced to waste that time playing alone. Leaving the match is not a good option because it results in a DNF and affects stats.

In EA SPORTS FC, inactivity is detected and the match ends automatically, awarding the win to the active player.

Why doesn’t NHL have a similar inactivity detection system? This would greatly improve the online experience.

I believe there is no idle kick in Online Versus. I've passed on your feedback about this. Hopefully, you're not facing too many opponents that aren't playing. I know that can be really frustrating.

Hi there. This exists in WoC. What mode are you experiencing players not getting kicked for inactivity in?

I mostly play Online Versus with NHL teams. That’s where I’m experiencing this issue with inactive opponents not getting kicked.
Good to know that WoC already has inactivity detection. Thanks for the information.

It happens a lot to me as well when you get a lead on someone and they know they're not going to win. Guys don't want to quit to take the DNF so they just put the controller down and walk way.
