This happens if you buy a seat on the 3rd line for points, the computer starts cheating you:

Very bad photo but you can see, i have 0+2 for first  11 games on 3rd line. Ice time is about 12 minutes/ game. 49 shots and not even one lucky goal because computer not alowed my character made goals. 

This proves that no matter how you play behind the controller, this beginning of your career is predetermined, you don't control your characters career, you are doomed to be the laughing stock of your opponents on the ice at the beginning of your career and you have been forced into this.

One good thing about this is, I'm still a 3rd line, even though it's only 0+2 points in 11 games. It doesn't affect me, I can play more freely. I was freed from the forced shackles that my character was created in. In fact, here I could take a 3rd line role and stop scoring points altogether and focus on tackling etc. This is exactly the kind of role you can't get in the game except with stupid points and this is what, for example, defensive players want: to take away the impact of points and focus on winning matches.
