Technically, I could solve myself by being more vigilant. The rough part is when this happens during league or club game play and the controller dies in the middle of a crucial game. Then, you have to scramble for the batteries or a cable to re-charge and play.
I'm on Xbox, so maybe this could be a Xbox specific problem, since the controller itself does not have a power indicator, which forces me to have to monitor the indicator in the Xbox Button context screen. Does that sound like what you were describing Gambetxcb , that the PS controller has a power indicator built into the controller hardware? That would be cool to have, but of course, not a game issue.
Maybe the better plan here is to buy a controller with a power indicator.

For ps it makes a notification when battery is runing low (you still have 30-60min game time atleast) it also shows on screen my menu. So we have a little bit of understanding how close we are to empty controller.

They do it shows on the dashboard UI in the top right corner, idk what is going on with OP.

It's in the dashboard UI, but if I'm playing for long periods of time, I may forget to check the dashboard. That causes the batteries to run out of juice in the controller, causing a scenario where I have to search for batteries or a power-cord immediately. I could fix it by being more aware and checking after every game. But I will most likely still forget occasionally.
