Franchise Mode – Missing Goalie Injuries

At the moment, if you play all games in Franchise Mode, goalies never get injured. This makes the mode feel less realistic compared to real-life NHL seasons, where goalie injuries are a big factor for teams.

In reality, teams often have to deal with unexpected goalie injuries, bringing up AHL goalies, using emergency backups, or adjusting rotations. None of that ever happens in NHL Franchise unless you simulate games.

A possible solution:

Allow goalie injuries to be triggered during simulation between games, even if the user plays every single match.

This way, you wouldn’t need to add in-game goalie injuries (which could be complicated from a gameplay perspective), but it would still add that layer of realism and roster management.

This feature would make Franchise Mode feel much closer to a true NHL season experience.
