Hello. As previously mentioned, we'll need to see video of this. If it's happening on every single save, make sure you get a video showing multiple saves being made. You may need to change the settings for the game DVR on your console so that longer stretches of play can be recorded.
Ill be honest, this years version is challenging to play and by far one of the most frustrating versions in a long time. I dont know how some of the issues wasn’t seen in game play testing. Now for the record, I understand the difference between gameplay due to my poor 76 overall rating and letting goals in that a 95 overall wouldn’t let in. Im talking about the programming issues. Just for the goalie.
The name bar needed to be fixed, the goalie’s limbs still look unnatural and not attached to the body and doesn’t look fluid. Goalie’s arms dont look attached at the shoulders giving the arms a very long elongated look. Even tho he has a glove on his hand the goalie will use his elbow to deflect the shot rather than catch the shot (Yes I have provided video of this already). Goalie will rarely use glove to catch a shot on the glove side. Goalie’s glove hand going thru the net when hugging the post, Goalie’s body facing the puck and its in the net, when the puck is behind the net. Goalie still kicks in far too many pucks into his own net. Goalie only lowering one leg getting into the butterfly to stop a low puck. After a game, no points shown or given to the reflexes attributes making it impossible to get better. (This issue carried over from NHL’25).
Non game play related goalie issues: All goalie builds in BAP goalie have the exact same attributes when starting your BAP pro. Builds in BAP NHL’26 no longer matter. You can choose standup, butterfly or hybrid, all of the stats and attributes are identical. (I reported this earlier as well) You will start with Glove high and Stick high with an 86, but glove and stick low will begin with 71 and butterfly with a 72 regardless of style selected. No way should a butterfly goalie have the same five hole rating as a standup goalie. It’s also impossible to improve your player. I understand I shouldn’t be a 90 rated goalie after two years, but I should improve far faster than this. 50 games played and my Glove and Stick low are still at 73/74 respectively. And only because I have to use salary perks to achieve this. Otherwise, They would still be at default.
The Energy system is officially terrible. This cripples the process to get better. As reported earlier, if Im playing 2 games a week as goalie, I must use 2 or 3 energy points to maintain any level of competitiveness. That leaves me with 3 points to use per week in 1 of 5 categories. It requires 10 points for 1 trait point. That means it would take me at least 1 month to get 1 trait point provided that I dont spend point on any other category. Either give more energy points or increase the value of them. The once a month salary perks.. why once a month? The calendar still missing (yes Im still talking about it). Weekly reflexes show 0.00 on a weekly basis. Impossible to improve reflexes. This is just a small list of frustrations. You still have slider issues, Controller settings not saving (back from NHL’24 that hasn’t been fixed). Goalie cant find puck when smashing the cover up button. There is a lot of fixing that needs to be fixed.

How do you get around being the backup and having terrible stats from when your starter gets pulled, and the computer makes you Swiss cheese? I have to maintain a .905 over 8 games, but if there’s a game I have to sim since I’m not starting that game, and the starter gets pulled and MY goalie goes in, there’s nothing I can do about that. 2 games summed, 9.64GAA, .877SV%. It makes it worthless to play. Unless I’m missing something.

Simple.. turn off auto save.

I think I put WAY too much up there. For a game your goalie isn’t starting, but is the back up, has to be simmed. Because “You’re Not Starting Tonight”. BUT, I’m the back up. Sitting on the bench. In pads. If the starter gets pulled, my goalie goes in, but I can’t control him. Sure, I have auto sim penalty off, but that only protects the line score. It does nothing for my save percentage, which is key to challenges. I’ll try with Auto Save off, but I’m just starting a new goalie in the Champions League.

Started a new goalie, got drafted by Philly, and the games I was back up, the starter never got pulled lmao. BUT, I’m starter after 8 games, but still playing like the backup, except I play 1 game every 3 the other goalie plays🤷♂️.
