How do you get around being the backup and having terrible stats from when your starter gets pulled, and the computer makes you Swiss cheese? I have to maintain a .905 over 8 games, but if there’s a game I have to sim since I’m not starting that game, and the starter gets pulled and MY goalie goes in, there’s nothing I can do about that. 2 games summed, 9.64GAA, .877SV%. It makes it worthless to play. Unless I’m missing something.
Simple.. turn off auto save.

I think I put WAY too much up there. For a game your goalie isn’t starting, but is the back up, has to be simmed. Because “You’re Not Starting Tonight”. BUT, I’m the back up. Sitting on the bench. In pads. If the starter gets pulled, my goalie goes in, but I can’t control him. Sure, I have auto sim penalty off, but that only protects the line score. It does nothing for my save percentage, which is key to challenges. I’ll try with Auto Save off, but I’m just starting a new goalie in the Champions League.

Turn off Auto save… when you complete the game you played, you overwright your current game. Then you continue. IF your goalie gets pulled and your stats are ruined, simply leave the game and reload from where you saved. Problem solved.

No, that isn’t the issue. I’m the back up. I HAVE to sum a game that I am not starting. The starter ends up being pulled from the game, my goalie gets put in, but I’m not controlling the goalie. I can’t. I had to sim. If there is a chance that my goalie goes on the ice for a game, I should be able to control him.
