Hitting is broken

EA_Aljo​ can you ask the devs why they have this unrealistic hitting in the game and if they can remove truculence from woc

I 110% agree!!! The animation is so awkward and unrealistic. The way the player will almost go down on one knee practically upper cut the opposing player using their head and shoulder. I've never seen a hockey hit look anything like that before.  

Can you get some video of the unrealistic hits you're seeing? That way I have some examples to send over to the team for review.

I love how I can't hit the CPU, but if I stand next to them, they can knock me on my rear without issue. I try the same thing, and it's barely a push.

Im referring too majority of the hits in general like they are way too overpowered,  it makes playing online chel not fun when the other team is just running all truculence builds with wheels and you cant escape them which is super unrealistic 

I'm not a fan of Truculence either. The teams that abuse it are annoying to play against. I know this is also being looked in to so hopefully, we'll see some changes in a future update.

If you’re chasing the puck back from top-down and physically making contact with the other player you will do a shoulder animation and miss the hit when your arms should be extending out. You’re already touching them body to body. I’m sure players who are regular can say it’s incredibly frustrating missing that type of contact. Hth

This was an issue in 25 as well, that made the game completely unplayable. I mostly play franchise, and editing sliders does very little, because the AI has only one thing in mind - laying out the body. 3 players simultaneously skating full speed to hit 1 player going through the neutral zone is pretty nuts imo. Also, there were plenty of complaints about hitting throughout NHL 25’s cycle and there was no patch addressing this issue, so I highly doubt there will be a fix.

If you’re planning on nerfing/removing truculence, then you need to also nerf/remove wheels, warrior & unstoppable. Defense has taken a hit every year for the last 5 NHL’s in a row, and this is without a doubt the worst defensive experience I’ve ever had in an NHL game. The last 5 games our club played on EASHL 3v3 our opponents took a lead and were able to rag the puck for significant chunks of the game, up and down the ice (without getting a stamina penalty), whilst being unhittable with warrior, unapproachable because you’ll get flatlined by a reverse hit(unstoppable), and unpokable because of the addition of wheels or EE to their builds. Any attempt to throw a hit or a poke throws you completely out of position, and sometimes your player goes in a completely different direction than you’re aiming. Truculence is the only thing that helps break through the hitting bubble that gets deployed by most of the more toxic x-factors, and even then you still hit the force field

I agree completely with the previous posts. Some of the hitting is very much overpowered.. How come, that you can get hit and get pushed back so far? It should be a realistic game with realistic hits. But okai, if I see all those Skins in the World of Chel Store…
