HUT Cup Chase - bring back the optional 2-5 minute periods?

Please bring back the option to select your period lengths, like last year games in squad battles. You can keep the pack rewards the same, just up the coins gained slightly for the longer periods? I am not sure what it's set to now, it seems like super quick periods.
Playing on a high difficulty, I find a lot of games being 1-0, or 0-0 going to OT. The period lengths also makes the OT be insanely quick where you pretty much have your starting line out the entire time.
It's just frustrating if you have control of the game with puck possession, yet nothing is going in their net, and they score last second with a random clapper from the corner of the upper circle so you lose with no time for redemption.
