Initial Trailer Impressions

thebrazenhead75 take ANY IQ or awareness system that they create with a GIANT grain of salt. Years ago they added a goalie awareness system so that they would be aware of where the puck was and different dangers of incoming offensive threats.. there were hundreds of videos posted of a puck sitting right in front of a goalie and an offensive player coming in and slapping it past the goalie because the goalie was seemingly unaware of both where the puck was and the threat of the incoming threat. Idk how many times the AI has been updated and people just skate right on past them or do 1 of a few diff inputs to make the cpu freeze. I actually prefer poor A.I. in WoC because I want people to seek out humans and you should be punished for playing with a cpu in a mode made to play with humans but in every other mode they should be decent. I feel like hockey A.I. shouldn't be as difficult as they make it seem. I feel like with some of the A.i. they try too hard. The CPU instantly reacts to button presses which can give the cpu a huge advantage vs poor/ new players but a huge disadvantage vs experienced players because they use that ability to exploit them. Quick inputs before passing an A.i. d man or going in vs a goalie are easy exploits. It's like playing a football game on the hardest difficulty (they often know what play you're running) call a run up the middle in a heavy set like Maryland I but then take it outside and the hardest difficulty will blitz the gap the play was supposed to go so you can easily get yards on the outside. An experienced player finds these exploits but new players or players who try to play the game correctly will struggle. The A.I. is so good at some stuff that it's bad if that makes sense. It becomes predictable. A.i. needs to have thresholds or slight behavior lag. 

Guess you will just have to wait and see the Deep Dives. 😁

Nothing shown in this trailer screams $70 / $100. Absolutely nothing.

xPetro-_- what about what they've shown looks promising? I'm not trying to downplay what you're saying. World juniors is cool, but it's one game. They're just gonna have to do a lot for me to be impressed. Of course I don't really do anything offline so maybe I'm not one to talk to about BaP or Franchise unless those modes become connected. I hope it's good enough that they don't have to update it again for 5-6 years because that will very likely be the turnaround on any updates again.  I hope it's good for everyone who likes that mode.

This is why I am not pre-ordering. Wait until I can see the changes and how they work for people.

just like last year the notable new features are very thin, and for me it's like a bad movie, the producers say that the interest is very thin but who wants to pay to go see a bad movie?? people therefore want to pay for a game without much new features?? people. So it's not because it's a niche game that sales are in free fall, it's because of the lack of real change. In the 2000s this game sold over 1 million copies

I can't wait to test the new revamped Be a Pro game mode. Game looks promising and exciting. 

Yeah, I'm trying to be optimistic but that was a REALLY poor showing if that's the main features.

All 4 "features" are essentially nothing.

Ice-q 2.0.. a long winded way of saying they added some stats that not many will care a whole lot about.. a cool feature, but nothing that should be on the back of a cover.

X factors... were any added? That seems like exactly what we had before, no?

Be a pro "updates" I hope this means fully Revamped.. "rookie to superstar" before it was minors to superstar.. Hopefully this is more than minor upgrades.. I know College football allows you to look around the stadium, I'm assuming this is one thing being added to the mode.. Hopefully this isnt one of the updates they're talking about and its not just a couple small ports from CFL.

HUT seasons.. i dont play any HUT.. weren't there seasons before?

The fact that it's still Fortnite Chel, with all the microtransactions and X-factors, just ruins my day.
