Anyone else think this year is the worst for hits after a pass/shot? Feel like guys can wait 3 -4 seconds and lay someone out (of course with truculence) then you are out of the play for another 8- 10 seconds getting up. Should be a penalty nearly every time and this year they changed it?
26 is sadly worse than 25 in almost every aspect.
25 at least had some balance and defense wasn't as underpowered. One timers were fun, no stupid game breaking X-Factors and so on
I agree with this the late hits are ridiculous. It becomes more egregious in 3v3. They should call it a penalty shot but instead you’re depleted in energy.

this year, the logic behind penalties like interference or roughing is completely off. Some of the hits that go uncalled are unbelievable — and that’s with penalties set to 4/4 and sliders maxed at 100%. I honestly thought this would be fixed with the first patch, but it’s starting to feel like the devs are actually fine with it, which really kills the motivation to keep playing.
Cracks me up I can stick lift a guy in the defensive zone and get interference, but I can run him over as long as the puck has been within 10 feet of him in the last 10 seconds for no call.
I played a game last week where the opposing PWF center would tie me up every faceoff and then knock me flat right afterward. Nothing I could do about it. Never even touched the puck. Every hit montage and highlight reel was just him knocking me on my **bleep** after the faceoff.
Their famous go to line ,penalties are a extinct in this game, no open ice charging penalties, no elbowing, penalties, no roughing penalties ,but try to tie up your opponents stick with the puck right next to your opponent its called interference
This is super annoying problem and this has been asked numerous times but they have only said the same thing as last year.
They are aware of the issue and its being investigated. So probaby nothing will happen...
Hits are allowed way to late. Interference as a penalty is broken. It's not called anywhere near the NHL rule book and I'm not sure why. Chip a puck past a guy he's free to hit you completely out of his lane for 3-4 seconds. Also seems that hitting from behind is nearly non-existent.
Also, once you get rid of the puck you are completely defenseless. They should add a way to reverse hit without the puck, or at least greatly increase your balance each second you don't have the puck.
The game is in a downward spiral. Just the same game with a different player on the cover.
