I have said many times that it's not easy to fix this without affecting how pivoting works. Which, in turn, affects backskating. Hopefully, we'll find a good way to fix this without also hurting pivoting.

EA_Aljo Make it so it only activates in the neutral zone and defensive zone, not offensive zone. Or make it only activate if a player is skating "down" the ice and not "up" the ice.

Ok then add sonething so they can get hit and it increases the player getting injured
I usually try to give the devs the benefit of the doubt when it comes to fixing these types of things. I know from experience the pain of trying to fix things in software with lots of interconnected moving parts. It can be difficult to fix what you want to fix without breaking other things.
But on the LT issue, I think the community is completely justified in running out of patience. Videos on how to exploit the LT in NHL 25 were up before that game had even been out a week. In the NHL 26 play-tests people were reporting the return of ballerina twitch skating. And the cherry on top is that "we fixed the LT exploit" was one of the marketing bullet points for NHL 26.
It's been nearly fourteen months since the release of NHL 25 and the change to how LT works. When it works as intended it's great. But there's been known exploits since essentially day one and after more than a year "it's hard" starts to ring hollow.

You need to be able to pivot in all zones. Not just NZ and DZ. Again, hopefully, we'll have a better solution for this in the future.

ok im no coder or programmer but you need to do the puck protect to do the crab walk. Cant there be a rule in code like "if puck protect is engaged=true, disable ability to back skate for 2 seconds" ?

Give all Defense Players (HUT and WoC) In Reverse from last years game, not so much the actual x-factor but what the x-factor did to the player in the position of "Defense"
While not universally true, most d-man are better back skating then forwards in real hockey, and you still get the speed nerf as a d-man but your pivot from forward to backskating happens faster which allows you to not get burnt by attacking forwards.
Possible that this idea brings in some issues I am not thinking off but I'm sure it could be tweaked to get the desired result. - Monopolized12 months agoRising Traveler
So you puck protect up your own boards to get the puck out if you don't and you lose the puck, you now can't backskate in your own end.. Not sure that would get the result you are looking for.

Excuse after excuse after excuse. It should have been fixed before launch lik EA said it was but just another lie by a disengenious company. It's not rocket science. Nerf strength and balance when the puck carrier tries to LT so they will stumble with a push. This will only affect the puck carrier so the argument it will affect pivots every where is not valid. Problem solved.
Again, it's not rocket science and should have been dealt with before launch.
Instead of brainstorming how to rip people off maybe put the effort into creating a user friendly game. If you can't do that, stop charging AAA prices for a game that isn't AAA anymore. This game should be $40 until you guys can actually fix the glaring issues that have plagued the game for literal YEARS.
Enough of the BS excuses.
