Manipulative

Every year I watch as players vie to acquire well known named players. The McDavids, Mathews, Makars, Mckinnons. Just to name a few. This game has players believing that the picture on the card is a replication as to how that player plays in real life. The AI cannot distinguish what face is on the card. It is formatted to algorithms that are preset. What players should be trying to acquire, are player cards with the 3 attributes that can be somewhat verified. Speed, Acceleration and Endurance. All other attributes have no way of verifying if they are accurate. The game throws up numbers as to shot power and several other skills. But those numbers are anything but accurate. I had my Hudson card in one game register a slap shot st 124.4mph. What player on this planet has ever had a slapshot at that speed. Dont get caught in the manipulation, that big name cards are better than others.

If you are looking for realistic player skills you shouldn't look to HUT. Personally I've never understood why it is so popular, for the reason you mention.

The names on the cards or on the ice doesn't really matter. You can have Cale Makar outskated by Luke Schenn because that particular Luke Schenn happen to be a Super Limited Hip Hop Flop Extreme Deluxe Wizard card (sarcastic made up name)  that has nothing to do with the player's real skills, but it is really good to play with. 😌 I would enjoy it a lot more if the players were accurate when I put together a team, so it's easy to stay away for me.

As far as the shot speed goes, I think it's being looked into, because it is indeed way too hard (and is not HUT related I'm fairly sure) and I have reported it.

Your assessment regarding Hut i agree with you. They have let this portion of the game become a byproduct of the game itself. The thing that bothers me the most is. The numbers they come up with in the skill sets. Like I stated earlier. There is no actual way of proving their validity. No scale to measure or compare them too. As you have stated. There are cards with speed settings higher with lower rated cards than with higher ones. How does one measure the accuracy of def awareness, shot blocking, ability, to name a few. Just numbers to entice players to buy into the card. Glad too see the shot speed is being looked into. It definitely is a farce. Good luck bud in any venture you play in this game. And appreciate your feedback.
