Community ManagerHolding the puck in your own end for too long will cause this to happen. You had a player open for a pass to quickly get the puck out of your zone. That would have avoided the slow down. I understand you're not ragging in the traditional sense, but it still falls under the same situation since you're skating behind your net with the puck.
Hey Aljo, are there any indicators of when you will get the slow down? We know the mechanic is there (and understand why its there) but occasionally get bit by it when trying to setup a breakout. Would be good if there were some cues. In the NHL, if the away team holds the puck too long behind their net, the home crowd will start booing. May be a good indicator in-game that you need to move the puck as the slow down is coming.
