Ea can keep tabs on players yearly involvement. But they don't make the effort to put in a safe guard to protect against situations such as yours. All a matter of whether they feel its worth their while. Obviously. It isn't.

its funny though how ea help told me everything resets yet im still in in the same rank for online play  my objectives are still completed like they were and xp path is completed yet they cant give me my team back but everything else is the same after starting a new team they just straight up lied to me about everything resetting. they are able to give me my team back but i guarantee you theyre just greedy so they wont

It's usually on the account owner to make sure their account is properly secured. It's usually pretty rare to see issues like this resolved
