O.K....we all have our own ideas, BUT......

Yeah, everyone has their own ideas and E.A always tells us to communicate those ideas right here which I still don't think is sufficient for fluid& perpetual conversations! Certain ideas are easily communicated and understood like you want the players to skate on to the ice plus you want the Zamboni between the periods! O.K....all self explanatory!

What happens, however when you have a complex idea and very innovative and would be groundbreaking in its implementation and effect on the game! I have such a quandary and I can just about guarantee everyone would like this idea i have which is totally original!

I have something called the CPDS(Created Player Development System) and there's no way that E.A could have any idea of what I'm talking about or how to create it within the game!

They would have to reach out to me!!

EA_Aljo rtwing89 I myself am someone who likes to ideate new and different gameplay mechanics and controls (take a look at my profile to see my original posts—you may like some of what you see).  Naturally, I have a strong bias for my own ideas and think they’d be “the best thing” for the game, so I completely understand your enthusiasm for your ideas, and I even get the protective feelings you may have over your ideas.

But you need to be realistic with your expectations— even if EA were to spend the time reviewing your ideas and taking them into consideration, a company (as large as EA or even a small start up) is unlikely to run with the ideas let alone compensate or even credit you for your ideas.  To get credit or compensation, you’d need to have a truly patentable idea and even a proof of concept to approach a company with; and frankly, even if they really liked your idea, they probably would look to develop it on their own rather than do business with an “entrepreneur” with a single idea.  Even as an employee of the company, you’re going to have a tough time getting recognized or compensated for conceptual contributions… this is just the reality of business at large.

The best you can hope for is starting a conversation amongst the community and hope it gains enough attention and traction to snowball into something large enough that would be taken up by EA.  Or, less practically, you could try to actually develop your idea into your own game (effectively building that proof of concept that I mentioned earlier), but of course this is going to take a lot of time and money and may ultimately be fruitless.

So, again, your best bet is to just share your ideas with the community here and see if it sparks any inspiration.  I’m not trying to burst your bubble, but rather I am trying to encourage you to share your ideas openly in hopes it breathes new life into something new and refreshing rather than suffocating in the clutches of your protection.

I'm not sure why you want to be so secretive, but you're welcome to send me a private message if that's better.

I'm not a fan of just showing my ideas to the whole community for any and everyone to see.

    I hope you understand why?

Hello. Just post the idea here and I'll get it reported to the dev team. Thanks!

    Why?

There's a whole studio of people experienced in game development who spend countless hours coming up with ideas and they have the unique insight of being able to extrapolate what implementing said ideas looks like in terms of costs. Insisting they approach you for ideas is some strange logic.

If your idea is as groundbreaking as you think, then posting it here would generate the appropriate discussion that most ideas need to go through in order to flesh them out.
