Play-By-Play audio sample?

Why is it not possible to preview the audio clips of how the name will be said in the play-by-play name options when creating a player? For example, what is the difference between Mitchel and Mitchell, or Herman and Hermann. Are they essentially the same? Then why even have both? I am very confused about the lack of this feature, as even NHL 09 had the Sample Preview option, how come this simple function has been removed in the years?
