Absolutely 100% agree. This is not a "just needs a little tuning" situation, the mechanic is broken. The video captures it well. You don't even need to be going for a hit to be pummeled by a reverse hit. My team has tested against reverse hit spammers (ie literally not pressing anything...just standing there) and they can knock you down with impunity.
It needs balance badly. If a defending player isn't specifically going for a hit, reverse should have a very high chance of resulting in an interference penalty.

Reverse hitting should only work if someone is actually trying to hit you..... EA_Aljo
