Down 1 in Champions with 20 seconds left and an offensive zone draw, I call timeout and pull my goalie. I win the draw, and am controlling the puck, when half my FRESH team goes for a line change to give up an empty net goal?!?! Was I just supposed to lose this game?
Funny thing is, I had won 3 in a row so I knew the match up would be stacked against me. Got matched up against a guy with TOTY McDavid, Chara, and at least Sakic and was playing my butt off. Had him scrambling to hold on when half my team fled to the bench on a 50/50 loose puck after 15 seconds. So I guess it will be my 5th straight Champions with 11 wins. That’s the breaks, considering some of those games I was on the receiving end of the shade.
