Skating feels slower...

Does anyone else feel like skating feels much slower than it used to just a few updates ago? I am playing Online Versus quite a lot and took a break for a couple weeks. When I returned to the games I came to realize that my players don't accelerate as fast as they used to before. I feel like the tempo overall is much slower and it just doesn't feel as fun anymore to play. I really enjoy playing on a highly intense level and it just seems impossible anymore. Skating feels heavy and I can't really counter attack anymore on a high pace. Am I going crazy or did they slow down the gameplay?
