Stamina drain is broken

How does stamina work in this game? In EASHL for example, say you get hemmed in your zone, your team loses stamina, but you do everything right defensively, eventually force a turnover and get out of your zone… only to have whatever stamina you had remaining, dissipate back to zero before you hit the red line. Instead of being rewarded for getting the puck out of your zone, the game punishes you. Now because you have zero stamina and you’re slow, you make a pass to a teammate, but you get laid out by somebody with Truculence in the neutral zone 5 seconds late and your teammate gets laid out just as he receives the pass, and before either of you can stand back up the other team has scored on a breakaway. I have 90 endurance on my class, but I run out of stamina like I have emphysema. Are there specific x factors that drain your opponent’s stamina? Make it make sense.

  • Not sure if a recency bias but the stamina drain feels worse this past week than it did previously.  Also did we lose the ability to turn off auto hustle?  I been trying to avoid hitting hustle at all to retain stamina and it still drains.  Can't find the option anymore.

  • As a Dman I’ve noticed that using No Contest  is very good at what’s it intended for but it also drains my stamina and endurance more than not using it.  I’ve heard several others mention the same thing.

Both my G and D builds have high Durability and Endurance.  Even when playing passively and sometimes barely moving my player just drains more than it probably should.  This is obviously EA’s intention.  It could/should be toned down a bit to be less effective.

The only issue with this is you're pretty much wasting an important slot (especially now with the truculence and speed meta combining together), on a near useless ability that can only really be activated in preventable situations

Try second wind (x-factor) see if it works for you on stamina

  • It's because the pressure system they added to the game is a beyond terrible idea they keep shoving down our throats.  Logic behind it makes no sense and it's just a dumb gimmick forced.

  • You can earn more stamina with certain Xfactors (I can't remember the exact name, the symbol has a player with a C), but there are definitely more Xfactors that do a better job draining the stamina of others.

The series has always catered to offense and I don't see that changing any time soon - The only reliable way of guaranteeing enough energy to make a frantic rush back (assuming yiu're playing 3v3), is to pre-emptively stop dead in your tracks and hang back on an upcoming play thr moment you get that "bad feeling"
