EA_Aljo here is an old screenshot I had that shows it would not allow me to equip it after I simulated a game and my health was no longer perfect causing my stat for acceleration to not be above 89. Again if your team has any competency they would see you cannot upgrade your acceleration stat beyond 88 without perfect health.
