This needs to change...
I will start by saying that I quite enjoyed NHL 25, besides a few quirks like abuse of hip checks and reverse hitting, the game was fun. A key component of my personal experience was shooting mechanics, it felt so good in NHL 25, that if you practiced and set yourself up, shooting felt like a legitimate threat on the ice. I could walk the blue line like Makar and absolutely rip a wrist shot top corner through traffic, beautiful, just a quick question, why is that not in NHL 26?
The shot power in NHL 26 is so pathetically slow that it has literally ruined the experience for myself and others that I know. Want to walk the blue line and throw a wrister on net? Not only is it not accurate, it's speed looks and feels like under 50 mph. Want to walk into the slot and shoot it? Feels like absolutely muffins being thrown at the net. This SPECIFIC reason is why I haven't played NHL 26 NEARLY as much as I did with NHL 25, so disappointing. I'm not even sure what to say, the shooting right now feels so sloppy and slow, just completely takes away from the game so much it's just not fun.
This needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP, I just can't say that I see myself buying the game next year if this is the case for wrist shots and shots overall.
