Unplayable scripted garbage!!!

Anyone who plays the franchise or be a pro game modes knows that this is not worth doing if you want to play hockey.

It feels like the computer is controlling your man on the ice. It feels like you have a magnet in your backside that the AI ​​sticks to when it feels like it. The AI ​​also tackles you with impunity and blocks you. The AI's play moves also seem to work 100% of the time, no hockey player actually plays like that, not even McDavid.

This is not fun at all anymore. I've had enough of this complete garbage. Is it too much to ask for in a game where you can control and control your own man without that stupid magnet?? There will be no updates to Be a pro so NHL26 has now been removed.

I'm a YouTuber and I have about 30k people following me. They see everything and I'm honest with them so EA should think about what they've lost. I'm not the only one who doesn't buy 27, I guarantee it.

Yes I agree, I only play franchise and season modes and it is the worst year game,  hits fest, weak poke checking for human, no cpu penalties,  absolutely terrible,  tried loads of slider changes and it makes no difference.  I've been playing this series ever since it first came out , bought 26 and gave it a good go but im back playing nhl25 with my slider set, im even thinking of buying franchise hockey manager 12, thats how bad this game is offline.  2k sports game was a bit ugly but played well,  this game is both ugly and plays badly. 

It's not a simulation and hasn't been for many years. It's like the quote from Tropic Thunder. its a game, disguised as a game, while being another game. I think you should just practice more. Because the ai and the goalies are trash cans.

I mainly play online versus, BAP and franchise mode and this game makes me want to sell my PlayStation and never buy a video game ever again. 
in Online Versus my guys block me from back checking, they get in my way when I’m trying to position myself in the O zone, they can’t skate at all and it’s been especially bad in that regard since last update. 
it’s awful. Might be worse than 25 and I wasn’t sure that was even possible. 

You could always lower the difficulty some. I've not really played those modes at all. I know if you jump on the Operation Sports forums people usually create A.i. sliders and difficulty settings to give you a better representation of hockey. Playing online is far from perfect too but I do find playing against real humans more rewarding. If nothing else they at least skate differently and take different lines than you're familiar with the A.I. taking. Of course you will have to deal with people taking advantage of everything EA has failed to fix. L2 stuff.. auto breakaways.. broken Xfactors, 0 creativity as far as builds because the EA builds and hitting.. if you can get over all of that it can be fun. Of course there is also HUT too and with a salary cap it's better imo. It can be played fully against cpu but it also has online games that you can be rewarded for playing if you choose to do that. Probably a good halfway point for you. Challenges would have you playing against all sorts of diff difficulties. I really hate the randomness of packs and it feels like a giant cheap gimmick but apart from packs I've enjoyed it.

I agree with HIAS1971.   ive been playing since NHL94.  this game, NHL26 is terrible.  its unplayable.  it seems once the other human opponents have found the way to score those "glitch goals", you know the ones im talking about, thats all they do....  there are no real "hockey plays" that develop anymore.  the game is not fun at all.  its exhausting watching this nonsense.  the matchmaking is ridiculous.  I thought i read that the AI goalies were going to be better this year, but they are worse.  honestly, i see nothing better about NHL26.  unfortunately, its the same garbage year after year.   and that would be ok, because after all, it is a hockey game.  the only thing that should change, is each game that gets played.  like in real life.  nobody cares about pumpkin heads or shark heads and devil heads skating around.  its actually pretty annoying.  Some of the game modes and announcers are very annoying as well.   and skating outdoors on a frozen pond is not fun.  anyway, im getting off the topic, venting about this game because there is so much to vent about.  $100 for this garbage.  every game i have played against another human has been nothing but these odd, unbelievable "glitch goals".  very aggravating.  and also, they need to remove the "game recording has been paused because youve entered a blocked scene" message.  its unnecessary and annoying...   EA should give refunds to frustrated purchasers.  

Thank you for your detailed answere! I only play (since NHL 94) Franchise or Season modus against the CPU and the AI is getting worse year by year! Absolute no sim character , no time and space for creating nice and real hockey plays! Once have the puck you will hit by the superhuman oppenent (at Superstar level) and they score so easily goal after goal while i have to work like a pig for every kind of success 😒thats frustrating at all and i play different kind of hockey games for decades!!! The producers only care for online users, offline is no money machine, maybe im too old for this **bleep** 🤦 

Which mode? CPU are a LOT better in some ways.. but FAR worse in others. WOC is a really good example. In THREES they are extremely good at defense because the ice is so small and you don't have the space to really take advantage of their deficiencies. They suck up loose pucks, know where they will go before it takes a bounce/ save from goalie, they intercept more cleanly, they hit hard and are HUGE (Mascot) yet skate fast and win nearly every 50/50 vs a player... but they are insanely stupid.. so a semi smart team parks them in front of their goalie to take away 1T's and rebounds and just calls for the puck because they are also perfect at passing, given you don'tcall for it with an opoosing player between you.. in 3's and 6's they are an absolute liability as it's easy to skate right past them like they're not even there. They are braindead but instead of the devs improving a.i. they just boost their abilities. The less CPU you play with/ against the more fun you will have in this game.
