Why am I losing because the poke check dont work

I thought the same but youre mot doing it right, it works now for me when i do it properly 

They really should fix this now asap. It’s not as if people didn’t mention this xx times.. The fun is just absolutely gone if you can‘t defend properly..

Pokechecks are in a decent spot I guess (so long as you don't spam and are dedicating yourself to thr play instead of twitch responding), but I never recommend the stick lift - it pretty much needs to be a perfect scenario for it to work consistently and with how fast the game has become, you're asking for trouble the majority of the time
