Why can we not change the age for active NHL and Alumni Players?

This seems like a basic feature. But if I want to create a franchise with certain alumni players I can’t choose their age. Why is this?EA_Aljo​ 

I don’t really want to hear that this feedback will be brought to the team. It’s been like this for years. So it clearly is doubtfully this will be patched in NHL 26.
