Why can't we edit PWHL players?

I'm trying to set up my PWHL mode now that (most) of the new players are in the game, but I can't edit the players to fix overalls I think should be different or add players like Skylar Irving because making a female player still only lets you assign them to men's teams, so we have to live with what the devs think the rosters should be other than fixing jersey numbers. Can't even do the trade that happened after the roster update because the player movement screen is only men's teams. Are there any plans to add the ability to edit women's rosters?
