Another solution to the problem could be.. leave drop ins as is get what you get and in clubs this is what can be done
Div 10-6 play each other pro vs pro , div 5 being one of the challenges, playing first come the transition from pro to elite and than div 4-1 .. elite vs elite ..
Makes all club games more challenging and skill based for all players involved
Community ManagerI think making games more challenging isn't really what is being requested though. Otherwise, there wouldn't be so much of an issue with going up against higher skilled teams which means more challenging. If I'm understanding this right, you want teams more around your level so the challenge isn't too high. Which makes sense of course. It would just mean longer wait times for matches. Obviously that isn't going to make people happy to wait more, but the teams they match up with might make it a better experience.

Everyone is close to the same skill level .. should have to problems finding teams in that range ..
Play div 1 verse div 10 .. is not a challenge just a virtual online beating
Community ManagerThe problem isn't as much as finding a team in a similar division. Ping times are also heavily weighted. So, the combination of a team within a specific range plus having a good ping is going to cause lengthy wait times.
Until it changes nhl 26 is absolutely disgusting work from EA and is not even worth playing .. virtual online beating incoming .. absolute garbage from a multimillion dollar company.. I honestly think with the selling to Saudi ea give zero fs for the community
