But why wouldn't we be allowed to play WoC (or even access the menus offline to change jerseys and stuff), when you can load all other modes just fine? Even a game like Split/Fiction, whose whole shtick is co op communication via mics, can be accessed.

It's a WoC specific bug because of how the mode loads and should be investigated. My mute from before was for PlayStation Network, not reported through and even for NHL
