The game isn’t that bad… I have some fun playing it! With that being said, I need to understand why a team with 81 OFF and 81 DEF, having players with like 83-84 speed, sometimes, is outpacing my players? I have McDavid at like 90 speed, Makar same thing… I don’t get it! Then, I play guys with freaking OP Selane, same thing: sometimes, I can catch the player, and other times, he has the speed of a Formula 1, while my player is as aslow as a freaking turtle.It is the lack of consistency that pisses me off a little! Same thing goes with poke checking, some guys literally get every poke checks, while others can’t!I need to understand!

Questions asked since the dawn of time lol. A lot of people have been complaining about that very thing. There’s no good answer that you’ll like. I’ve had players who are in the red carrying the puck skating like they had full stamina out skating my players with full stamina. Other times players for no reason lose all their stamina in one dash up the ice and yet I wasn’t skating full speed. Don’t get me started on poke checking. It’s a joke. A simple mechanic that should be easy to drag and drop the code year after year and yet it’s always broken. I have a video on here of me poke checking a guy who was almost on a breakaway. Clearly you can see my stick not only hit the puck but his stick as well and nothing happened. Of course he continued skating and scored. Beyond ridiculous. This game as a whole is bad. Already almost 70 days of a season mostly gone and yet not a single fix of people’s complaints has happened.

So, I'll write my opinion on this. I also play ranked games because the Cup Chase games have become boring, always with the same opponents. And now on the subject of speed. I read a lot of comments, and for this reason, I last looked closely at all the opponent's players at the end of the game. He had a team rating of 77, and I had 84, and the first two lines with Captain McDavid and Byfield, Marner Petterson, etc., were all fast players, and then they even increased their "total" ratings. So, as for the opponent, not a single player from the opponent, according to checking their player cards, even came close to my players. And none of them had the "Wheels" X-factor. But in the game, these very same players overtook my McDavid and co. with the puck, and because they were so fast, it was extremely difficult to check them. All the goals that were scored were only because they were so fast, and two of them were already in front of my goal, and my players were behind them. I think the "speed" rating should be removed from the cards. If I'm thinking a bit sanely, I should easily win the game, but...

So... I'm not the only one then...

No matter how much you point out we’re always wrong.I’ve said very similar things over the years that lower level players should not be able to keep up with higher level players but I’ve always been told I’m wrong. Ice tilt doesn’t exist remember? It’s obvious he’s using the team he started out with. All 70’s players minus 1 82 player. Makes you feel like why bother wasting all that time to constantly upgrade your team when a basic team can keep up or surpass you in a game right? I feel ya. It’s frustrating. Makes the blood pressure go up for sure. The edge you feel you should have by having an all 80’s team plus boosts doesn’t really do much in the end. Enough of my rant cuz like I said I’m wrong anyways. Good luck Judyracing.

Have had same issue and I have players with the wheels x-factor. It’s a valid complaint.

How are you unable to score on someone not controlling their defenders? This was a big complaint a few years ago, but it has barely been mentioned until now. In the past, AI players didn't take any defensive action other than positioning so they weren't terribly difficult to beat. Are you saying that has changed?

While the overalls matter, how you use those players is more important. So far, nobody has come forward pointing out where a slower player is unfairly beating a faster player. We can't investigate this without that.

If slower players were truly faster, we'd see everyone running the lowest possible teams. That obviously isn't the case.

i think, at the end of the day, the programming trumps the attributes. Offline, especially moments, it really doesn't matter who you have out there, or are against, the game's programming just dictates what's gonna happen. I'm tying to be mindful of it online, as well, but it's hard to get a good gauge online as every game is boring. It is shocking how many people are skillzoning now. EA needs to educate their customers please. I'm at the point where every second, of every game, is controlled by the programming. It's not a free game, playstyle wise really. It's plagued

Well, you can see throughout the video that the players are as fast as my players, and that should never be the case if you look at your players at the end and then mine. I always look at all the opponents' players at the end and then mine.
