New season update

With this new 2026 NHL every new season it's been a little bit of a challenge to put together a team so you can play and you take a little bit of hit your overall ranking might go down every season it would take me an hour or two for the first season so far but this new season for 2 days now I've been trying every combination and I can't even come close to putting a team on the ice I'm still 20 million dollars above the salary cap. I think what they figured with this new season Captain chemistry was adding the plus 20 million salary cap boost was going to be enough but there's not even close to any combinations on the line combinations to make it work I had a 94 rated team last season and was 2 million dollars under the salary cap season switch new Captains I have my team overall ready now a 90 and I'm still 20 million above the salary cap and I have no other players to put in so it just really frustrates me getting off of work want to play some hockey and the game I paid for I can't even use because I can't get under the salary cap fix it

    97 captain is mandatory this early for the 50m boost.

    Doesn't being "required" to use certain players kind of take away from the concept of creating your own team? Not trying to create a debate, just pointing out that EA wants to take away our freedom to create our own team.

    For christ sake can these devs increase the salary for these combo lines I want to use they players I want not the players some dev thinks I should be using

    I stopped playing completely. Enuff is enuff. For a while I tried to fix the team for the cap... To what for? I have zero interest playing with base line cards ... And at this time of year, why the h should we? This isn't hut any more... With the pathetic line combos like these, this is simply bullying customers. All the previous campaigns and players from those... All for nothing. And why should people buy packs to get players they cant use? Cards are pretty to look at? Can consider returning to game, if somehow miracuosly we get decent line combos, but dunno... I'm losing time, campaigns and players every week we cannot play the game... I thing I know for sure, Im not buying this game any more... And I've been fan of the series since 90's... Pity what this has become...

    I wish I had the strength to just quit altogether. As soon as the NHL season is over I will be though. "Bullying the consumer" is a great choice of words. I can't believe developers actually thought this would be a good idea. The fan base loss they see next year will show them. But we'll never know because they have pushed so many of us to the brink of no return. I'm not the only one who has mentioned throwing controllers through TV's as an option for dealing with this frustration. It's sad.
