Community ManagerCan you get me video of the pokes that are failing? I agree it could use a boost, but I'm also able having many poke checks separate the player from the puck.
I just noticed your comment so I only had these two clips on standby, but you can see in the first one that there's lots of stick-on-stick contact (plus a missed pokecheck by me) but also other incidental contact that I feel should have prevented Doughty from making the shot.
The second clip is me on a breakaway and you can see that my opponent makes what I consider good contact on the stick/puck, yet I keep on skating on the breakaway and I think I ended up scoring on the play. But I believe he should have been able to knock the puck loose there. Let me know if this is something I should start recording more and I'll try and keep it on my mind as I play and watch these plays unfold.
I'll see if I can post some videos where I'm pinned in my zone, hitting is not viable and I just can't poke it off the guy. This is something that I should have an easier time finding clips for in the future seeing as Ranked hasn't leveled off yet and some people are still climbing who are much better at cycling and therefore harder to defend.
Community ManagerUnfortunately, those clips are not really conclusive that there's a problem. The first one doesn't look like contact is made and the second one only shows the stick from an awkward angle. It also doesn't look like you really make much contact. Even still, you're pushing the puck in the direction it's already traveling. With the carrier in front of you, they're going to have a far greater chance at picking it up. I'm going to need better videos showing the poke checks aren't working.
Those are the only ones I had on stand-by, but I'll be getting more and more clips of pokechecks, but also incidental contact that should result in loose pucks. As mentioned earlier, I'll specifically try and see if I can capture clips where its very hard to get out of pressure situations in the defensive zone because pokes aren't really doing anything. And I'll also try and see if I can get some clips of defending rush chances where stick-on-stick contact seemingly does nothing.

Community ManagerI agree poke checks could use a slight buff, but in general, I'm having little issue with them. I have numerous pokes each game that separate the carrier from the puck. Of course there are times this doesn't happen when it seems that it should. Normally, in those cases, I'm getting my body in the way and knocking it loose just from physical contact.
