This pay to win model in hut is not fair.

You can't be shocked at this point, EA know what they are doing. 

With the cost of those packs they should have guaranteed to a 91 minimum. 

Monetization is fine - if it’s done properly. EA hasn’t done this. There was literally no way for the average player to get multiple 96 TOTY cards (which will tip the balance). Add in the fact that the LTD packs only had a 40% chance at dropping one, and even F2P players who took the chance to drop coins on the pack were likely to miss out, and it becomes even worse. 

Find a better way to monetize, or start dusting off your resume, because it’ll be the death knell of HUT if things continue like this. 

This is actually such a gross reply to the player base in regards to monetization from a community manager. We realize theres microtransactions in HUT. There's been micro transactions in HUT for years. Telling players if they dont like the current money grabbing systems and strategy, then we should go to versus is just straight up disrespectful to the loyal player base who has supported this mode for years. There's been monetization, and thats fine, but there's been a clear decrease in earnable rewards, and a sever importance on buyable content. It's become just crazy levels of greed in forcing players to feel like they 'need' to spend money to keep up. There will always be money spent teams but I've never had a singele issue icing a good team until NHL 25-26 (and 26 is far worse). You and the content team or whoever makes these decisions need to have a hard look in the mirror of the direction of this game, because you'll likely lose a large portion of your player base going forward if this continues.

I want to add to this conversation now since the season 3 update. I think these rewards are fantastic for people not spending and are a step in a great direction. I think these expensive packs are far more tolerable when I know I’ve at least got a clear path to decent rewards.

I would like to see the daily bumped back to 7 cards though with one being a jersey/logo/arena type type card to go with the random player (I got a 75 as my sixth card day 1 which is near useless at this point) but now that you can trade in customization items and the requirements being so large it’s nice to know each day I will have a chance at 1 of them. Collecting 30 epic jerseys to trade in for a jersey pack feels very out of reach for me. EA_Aljo​ 

I like it. I don't want to max out everything and still be short of my goal.

If an extra 50$ will help me enjoy my favorite hobby, and still have time to sleep at a reasonable hour, I'll spend it.

What you guys call greed is what normal people call MTX Revenue. 

It's not just EA NHL that does it. 

The amount of content being put into the game you need old rewards again, you developers are making hut cards nobody will get to use. Why should i want to spend money on packs when you took away my rewards? I used to buy packs all the time in 24 and 23 and I bet way more did too. Your guys own greed is costing you money. 

Why cant you developers etc give us back our rewards from nhl24 and prior? These 78+ packs aint it. You're right about HUT being a monetized mode, but NEVER to this extent. This is absurd levels of greed. All you EA people who are responsible for content and rewards should be constantly asking the higher ups to revert this change. If we had old rewards AND the xp path? Game would be 10/10 but unfortunately it isnt. 

Obviously, HUT is a monetized mode. It would be great if we had a separate version of HUT that was solely based on earned items. I have no idea if that will ever happen. In the meantime, there's always Online Versus for those that want a competitive online game without monetization.
