- @EA_Aljo I just got the same glitch while playing BAP, it happens too inside the instant replay option.

Thanks for the video. Do you have the game installed on an internal or external hard drive? Just to see if it helps, would you mind reversing the HDMI cable? Just swap the ends it's plugged into between your console and TV/monitor.

It has nothing to do with the HDMI cable. It's on the internal SSD.

It's definitely worth a try and isn't outside the realm of possibility.
Do you happen to have an external drive you can try installing the game to instead? Also, have you tried deleting and reinstalling it already?

I know you are just to rule out of the obvious here but once an HDMI handhsake is establish between a device, it wouldn't display anything. I would get No signal from the TV. You can clearly see in the video that it still see player and I get access to the menu. This is an Frostbite engine issue. This problem seems to be more likely to happen after a Quick Resume session. NHL 22 doesn't seem to play very well with Quick Resume. I now quit the app and relauch when I want to play NHL 22.
Can you please pass this video to the Frostbite engine guys. I am sure they will find it interesting instead of having me re-install the game only to have this issue again.

I always have trouble after quick resume with online games. Mainly, they just don't want to connect right away and take a few tries to do so. That or exiting out of the game and loading into it again. That works every time.
Unfortunately, with such a small number of reports, there isn't anything we can do. Especially if this is related to Quick Resume. I'll pass on the feedback though.

This just happened to me after continuing my BAP career. First game in and it the same issue as the video from twitter link.
i am also having the same issue in be a pro. for me it has happened twice, both times being the game that the coach gives me a challenge to accomplish
- Bahamuta4 years agoRising Ace@EA_Aljo there are plenty of people, myself included that have been having the issue. I never play BAP but since the last patch broke Franchise mode BAP has been what I have attempted to play. That mode is also full of bugs, just none of them that prevent you from moving forward in the game like the Franchise breaking.

I am experiencing this issue on PS5. Everything is updated to latest. This is not related to the cabling, as I am having the issue both with remote play to a separate device and on the local screen.

Interestingly, I can see the highlighted positional zones in Be A Pro. The rest of the game functions, I can interact, and fight, I just can't see. The menus also work fine, and display correctly. just all the 'lights' are turned off.
- @EA_Aljo Happens on PS4 also, a very common bug.
This is a game issue 100%. its been happening to me regularly. I play a game or two fine, then i get this black out game where i can only see the player indicators. I quit, taking a loss, fully close the game, restart the game and try to play again. Sometimes it fixes the issue sometimes it doesn't. Overall though, this is 100% a game issue, not counsel, HDMI, TV, etc. issue.

Happening to me

I want to add that game was working fine, I finished a game in franchise and then went to start a second game and it happened as the game started.
I exited and then tried to start again and it was on the team select screen. Exited again and chose back up file and it was there as well.
Tried franchise from two days ago, completely different one, and its in there. Tried a tournament and it's there as well...so it's like it took over every mode.
I saw on reddit to Uninstaller and reinstall but I'd prefer to see if actual fix.
I just had the same issue happened to me. I am in franchise mode and I was going to play a game and as soon as the game started the ice and everything is black. I can only see neon circles and markers for the players. I have been playing the ultimate team all this time and have not run into this issue. So it is not just an online gaming issue. Because I am not online and I am in franchise mode and have been doing everything else just fine until I went to play a game.
I too am having the same issue in offline squad battles, and its happening on both of my PS5's. Doesn't seem to be anything in particular that causes it, sometimes it is the first game I play, sometimes the third.
Like others it cause us to lose out on points etc. especially ToTW games.
