Re: How do I stop my d-men from splitting in the d-zone and then stopping?

This is a tricky one. I'm not sure any of the strategies are going to help. How I stop this is by manually switching to my defense. You can't really on the auto switch since chances are good you're going to get a player closer to the puck. You can hold RT/R2 and click down on the right stick to get the last man back or just hold in RT/R2 and aim at the player you want to switch to with the right stick. I do this in situations where I need a defender to stop a rush when I know my forwards won't be able to catch them.

  • That’s the thing though. I was aiming down to swap to my d-man, but it gave me the left wing first. So is there no way to defend a scenario like that? If the game skates your dmen out of position and then won’t let you swap to your dman in time, just accept the game is gifting your opponent a goal?

That's pretty odd you got the left-wing when aiming down. I'll keep an eye out for odd behavior like this since I use manual switching a lot. Thank you for the feedback on this.
