Havent checked the temperature yet. Sometimes this is happening on the first game of the day, 10 mins in. Xbox is standing alone under my desk, atleast 40 cm to next objects. If it really overheats after that short period i may have to send it in.

I have read that there have been same problems with other games which have been designed for next gen consoles (e.g. CoD, Battlefield). Thats why i think it is not the console itself

@KlariskraysNHL If it seems to be running hottter then what you know it might run at temp wise, might kneed to try taking the case of the console and checking its not getting clogged with dust. Consoles are known for collecting dust and nasty bits inside them. Give it a good blow out.
Or try getting in touch with a technician and explain the problem with them they may be able to help you better then what i can

@r3ns0n i would say try getting a contact with a xbox technician in your local erea, they may be able to help you better then what i can.
it might not be a overheating issue but a rule i use is to make sure i wipe and clean all my console's and all the surfaces they are on at least every other week just to try and stop dust getting into my consoles.

I strongly recommend taking it out from under the desk. That is going to be a haven for dust collection and since it's not in the open it could lead to overheating since it's a contained space.

The console has a surge protector built into it. You'll want to make sure the console is plugged directly into the wall outlet.

It might also help to put your power setting to Energy Saving Mode if you have it set to another setting.

@EA_Blueberry i moved it from under the desk to next to the desk. So, there is nothing that could lead to overheating. I also checked the temperature, not warm at all.
Dust should not be a problem yet. The console is just one week old.

Just noticed another thing. When the games freezes I am able to return to the home screen and shut down NHL 22. Therefore I guess the problem is the game not the console.

    Hey, @r3ns0n

Do you happen to have any devices plugged into the console or use an external hard drive with it (whether for the game or not)?

    Thx for your support.

    Hi @EA_Blueberry ,

unfortunately the problem occurred again. I was not able to play the two games i started today.

Same failure. Game freezes after 3 mins, grey/green pixel screen, then xbox is shutting down.

I try to reinstall the game again but it is not the solution i want to have in long term.

For those experiencing crashes, here are some tips we recommend:

    1. If you have anything plugged into the console's USB drives try removing all those devices. I've seen some controller charging docks conflict with games in the past that lead to performance issues. I tried plugging in my phone charger in the past and that lead to slow menu navigation. Best to remove all devices and power cycle your console to see if there is any effect.
    2. If you use an external hard drive, check to see if files are located on both drives. If so, you'll need to uninstall all the files from both drives and re-install. Make sure before you re-install, you enable all post-installation updates to go to the same drive. If you continue to experience crashes, try installing the game to the internal drive with the external drive detached.
    3. IMPORTANT. Plug your console directly into the wall outlet. The Xbox has a built in surge protector. Not doing so can lead to [potential crashes or console shutdowns.
    4. Clear up room on your hard drive if it's close to being full.
    5. Power cycle your console with these steps below.

How to power cycle your Xbox console:

    1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button  on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console’s power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    1. Plug the console power cable back in.
    2. Press the Xbox button  on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

    Clear Mac Address

    1. Clear the MAC Address: From the Xbox dashboard select Settings>All Settings>Network>Network Settings>Advanced Settings>Alternate MAC address>Clear, then restart your Xbox.

    @r3ns0n

Hey there. Wanted to check up on you one more time to confirm whether these steps helped out. Usually when players don't get back it's an indicator it worked.

@EA_Blueberry sry mate, have not seen the response yet. But i can tell that i did all of the solutions except the one with the MAC address.

I made a decision myself and put my xbox on a repair order. Cuz in some German threads it was mentioned that it might be a hardware issue. When I get it back I can give you feedback if it is still a problem.

Again, thank you for the support. I will keep you upated.
