hello fellow ea'ers i am the (not so) proud owner of a macbook and thus i am forced to still use origin. with this new update however, i have run into quite a problem. i cannot update sims 4. it will update for a few seconds and then it'll "crash". the timer will was "0h 0m 0s" and from there on out it is not moving any further, and i have to restart the app - within an hour i managed to get to 27% after numerous restarting of the app, of my computer and even of my internet - before i decided to just uninstall the game, to see if that would work (spoiler: it didn't.) i even uninstalled the origin app as well. i have cleared my origin cache. restarted more times than i can count on 2 hands. and since i uninstalled the game, i can't download it again - it either says "resuming" after i've restarted the app, or it says "0h 0m 0s". i've been battling this for an hour and im sick and tired of it. what can i do?

This does indeed appear to be fixed 🙂 If anyone is still having issues with updating/repairing/downloading, it's worth logging out of Origin, quitting the app, restarting and logging back in again. me too! i disabled my antivirus, did a clean boot, cleared the cache, restarted multiple times, idk what to do atp

It's broken here as well. Re-installed the client and deleted all my games, but it's stuck.

For me too. It stops and starts with horrible download speeds then just stops with no pause or resume button. Sometimes I get an error message too.

I’m in the UK. I’ve tried:

- 2x different Macs (Intel and silicon), both running Ventura

- disabling all ad-blocking

- hotspotting off my phone

- home ISP

- running Origin reset tool

Nothing is working. Before disabling my pi-hole this domain was popping up when the connection would temporarily activate:

ssl-lvlt.cdn.ea.com

it wasn’t blocked.

just managed to get it downloaded by waiting for it to reach 0 download rate and then pausing, then resuming. i did it like 5 times and now its installed

I have the same experience. I was talking with players in US, and they don't, but I am in Europe and I wonder if it can be related to the European servers

Also having this problem. Its becoming a nightmare. I have this everytime an update comes out.
Ever since the switch over to EA hub for windows, its been rubbish on mac. I can't stay signed in on Origin, updates take the mick and i always lose my games on updates.
I didn't pay this much money for EA to snub Mac users. I genuniely think we've been treated so bad we should be entitled to a free expansion pack.
I can't play at all at the moment, like others on this forum. Its a joke.

no i sooo agree with you! i've been so annoyed with origin since they got the new app out for windows user. the amount of times i have to force close origin because it opens itself up 4 times, and the fact that i can't stay signed in is annoying as hell. it already takes ages to just open up!
